Bing worked hard to put together a quality search engine. It is not any less functional than Google

but Google’s market share is not decreasing and Bing keeps on lagging behind very badly.

What do you think is keeping Bing from gaining any market share?

I’m not an expert, but my intuition says it’s just inertia. People won’t switch without compelling reason.

i.e. "I’ve been using Google for years, and so I’ll just keep using Google. It’s too much work to switch my homepage to Bing. Also, the name "Bing" sounds ridiculous."

In this video interview, Internet marketing specialist Noran El-Shinnawy explains three ways that you can get more bang for your buck with Google AdWords advertising. She explains how you can improve your ads through relevance, value, and a call to action.

1. Relevance. Your ad needs to reflect closely the search term the potential customer is using. The more relevant your ad is, the higher the Quality Score and the less the ad costs you.

2. Value. In your ad, explain why the customer should click on your ad. Adding your prices in the ad may help your business demonstrate value to the customer. Other approaches may be to offer free shipping or a free trial.

3. Call to Action. A call to action in your ad prompts the customer take the next step. This might be: Buy now! Free trial! or Download white paper!
