is this translation from italian correct. can you tell me the parts to change. (sorry if it’s long)

Dear Rector,
We wish to inform you about the activities and the objectives of our brand new association.
Naples, the city where GRADg is located, constitutes today a crucial hub for Mediterranean and international migration flows, calling to mind, in a way, some aspects of New York in the last century, constituting a real “melting pot”, inhabited by different ethnic groups, cultures and customs. It is within this scenario that the GRADg project has been set up, on the initiative of graduate and undergraduate students of the Università degli studi di Napoli L’Orientale, one of the centres of academic excellence in Italy in the study of foreign languages. Most of the members of our association comes from this university, which also contains students from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, La Parthenope and Suor Orsola Benincasa.
The GRADg constitutes as a youthful anti-unemployment search party, pursuing young recent graduate and undergraduate students whose goal is to enter the world of work. Through arrangements with universities from all over the world and, relying on the work of a large body of native speakers – as well as competent and qualified experts representing various continental and international languages – the GRADg intends to serve as a bridge between nations in achieving cultural, financial and commercial changes. It further purposes to set up arrangements between universities and companies for professional exchanges among young graduates from different countries, which will be fruitful for all parts involved. The association is constantly seeking new skills to be included in the circuit, and the University "L’Orientale" is an inexhaustible supply of young people who have achieved a high academic level.
The structural and economic crisis – that according to many analysts is far from over – has created very high levels of new unemployment, while professionals have ceased altogether to exist. In this context, our goal is to create incentives and means to generate jobs through a network which connects businesses and institutions with experts in various fields. Then, the expansion beyond the borders – young people seem to have understood – represents the new frontier which will allow everybody to face this raging economic crisis, especially if it is addressed to the developing countries, or newly industrialized, along an idea of cooperation and collaboration which will be useful to both players of these exchanges. In fact, one of the most concrete and important purposes of the GRADg is precisely to provide support to companies which have interest in expanding abroad through the growth and outsourcing of the market, addressing mainly to areas that offer a very wide range of commercial possibilities and intend to be potentially one of the main actors of the world affairs of the next decades. Moreover, supporting the government entities which deal with the integration of the immigrants on the national territory is not secondary.
The GRADg is anti-unemployment search, through open-minded projects, willingness to be open to new culture in a productive dynamic, promotion of opportunities of work, internships in repertory companies on the territory, development and expansion of activities abroad: our association offers all means (language skills, affability, sector-based and bureaucratic knowledge) as well as the necessary skills for a serene and correct integration between people while respecting the interests of all.
Let’s summarize schematically all the goals that our association intends to pursue:
1- Provide, the education system of MESI, the possibility to train the students both Italy and other countries: activate, for each one of them, projects and concrete contacts. Let them study in other countries, developing a system for distance learning too, by using new technologies – videoconferences and other data transmission devices – in order to exchange information, applicable skills in the world of work, and by creating synergies between the different realities and their procedures. One of the main innovations is properly to use technology to make models of instant interaction, which will allow you to avoid practical, bureaucratic and economic problems, inherent in the geographical shift.
2- Propose – thanks to a deepen knowledge of the national territory – projects and internships to those interested in enlargement and development of their own skills, through a continuous process of updating that also involves cooperation with other institutional and private.
3- Capitalize the skills gained in the process of obtaining the qualification: it offers a continuous exchange of information and knowledge between experts of various countries, who have conducted a study path in the same field, to get the different methods and their limits, and then complement each other at last.

I have made a couple of corrections to make it sound more natural:

Over the past decade more and more people are getting fired, getting downsized, or getting fed up with their corporate jobs and embark on the journey as a small business owner. Unfortunately, most of the new small business owners fail to consider their marketing plans or strategy. There are many marketing concepts for small business marketing to consider and plan for, but here is our list of Top 10 Marketing Concepts For Small Business Marketing.

Marketing Concept # 1: Consistency

Consistency is the number one marketing concept for small business marketing only because it is left out of marketing concepts for so many businesses. I have worked with a long list of clients, big and small, that are extremely inconsistent in all areas of their marketing. Consistency helps lower the cost of marketing and increase the effectiveness of branding.

Marketing Concept # 2: Planning

Once small business owners decide to be consistent with their marketing, planning is the next major concept to engage. Planning is the most vital part of small business marketing or any level of marketing, for that matter, and so many owners, marketing managers, and even CMOs plan poorly. Put the time into planning your marketing strategy, budget, and other concepts presented here to ensure success.

Marketing Concept # 3: Strategy

Strategy immediately follows planning because your strategy is the foundation for the rest of your marketing activities. In the process of planning, you must develop your strategy: who you will target, how you will target them, and how will you keep them as a customer.

Marketing Concept # 4: Target Market

Target market is also another key concept for small business marketing. Defining exactly who you are targeting allows small business owners to focus on specific customers and reduce marketing waste. A well-defined target market will make every other marketing concept so much easier to implement successfully.

Marketing Concept # 5: Budget

Although it is listed at number 5, budgeting is important throughout the entire process. Creating a marketing budget is usually the hardest and most inaccurate part of small business marketing. Most small businesses owners lack a great deal of experience in marketing, so their budgets usually end up skewed. The most important part of this marketing concept is to actually establish a marketing budget. From there, you can worry about how to distribute your available funds.

Marketing Concept # 6: Marketing Mix

The marketing mix is usually defined as product, pricing, place, and promotion. As a small business owner, you must specifically decide on your products (or services), the appropriate pricing, where and how you will distribute your products, and how will you let everyone know about you and your products.

Marketing Concept # 7: Website

In today’s market, a business of any size must have a website. I hate when I see businesses that have a one page website with out-dated information. Customers, be it businesses or consumers, will search the web over 60% of the time before making any purchasing decisions. This marketing concept contains a slew of additional components, but you must at least develop a small web presence of some kind and keep it updated.

Marketing Concept # 8: Branding

Many small businesses owners also neglect this concept. Small business marketing must focus on this marketing concept just as much as large corporations do. Branding consists of the pictures, logo, design scheme, layout, make up, and image of your products and even your company. Branding is how your customers perceive (please place a lot of emphasis on that word!) your products and company. Make sure to pay special attention to what kind of brand you are building through each step of your planning and implementation.

Marketing Concept # 9: Promotion and Advertising

Promotion and advertising is a very complex marketing concept, but must be considered for any type of business and its products and services. Once you engage the previous 8 marketing concepts, you must finally let your target market know about you and your products. Proper promotion and advertising will result in effective brand recognition, and, ultimately, increased sales.

Marketing Concept # 10: Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

The concept of customer relationship management has become a huge industry in the marketing world. There are many types of software and services offered to help businesses of any size handle their customer relationship management. Since there is so much available, usually for a large sum of money, small business owners usually look at this concept as something they are not big enough for or have enough money to implement. Don’t be fooled by the massive industry that has evolved from this concept. Maintaining proper customer relationship management is essential to creating loyal and consistent customers.

This list of marketing concepts should be examined, researched, planned, and implemented, especially by small businesses, in order to be successful. Also, your marketing doesn’t stop here. Each business is unique and will have additional components that must be considered, but this list will jump-start any marketing plan.

Most new businesses don’t make it past the second year. One reason these businesses fail is because few people know how to use Internet marketing. Article marketing allows business owners to advertise online without spending much money. Internet marketing with articles blows the theory that ‘it takes money to make money’ out of the water.

How Article Marketing Builds Your New Business

writing articles for online distribution requires you to meet the rules set forth by the major search engines. Search engines, like Google for example, detail how important one way back links are to getting to the top of their list; heed their message!

Sure, you can exchange links with other sites like your own, but that isn’t enough to get Google’s attention. For more details go to www.podcastings-teleprompter.com You spend a huge amount of time e-mailing people to ask about exchanging links and when it’s done and told, you have basically canceled out the benefit of a link at all.

Internet Marketing and Distribution Services

one of the most cost effective ways to market a new business on the Internet is to submit articles to a directory service. Approximately 250 free and low-cost article submission distribution sites are at your fingertips through a simple search. All directory services are not the same, though. Select the one that offers you best feature to suit your needs.

The Benefits of Using a Quality Article Distribution Service

why submit articles to a directory for free publication? It’s a cost-effective way to advertise a new business.

* Write about what you already know.
* Build a network of back links to your website.
* Get your articles published in e-zones and newsletters.
* Establish yourself as an expert on the topic.
* Generate traffic, increase sales and make more money from affiliate marketing.
* Establish relationships with new clients.
* Directories that are edited by people are fine-tuned for publication.
* Choose from a list of categories and subcategories to place your article in.
* an editor will make sure that your article is in the best category to get the most attention.

How Do Submission and Distribution Services Work?

Submitting an article to a directory service is easy. For more details go to.www.big-book-internet-marketing.com All you need to do is register, select a category and subcategories and paste the title, description and body of the article in the right places. Then fill in the resource or author box with valuable information about your new business; including a link to your website.

A submission and distribution service creates a win-win situation for webmasters. It is a powerful tool used in Internet marketing. It allows you to submit articles to a directory as long as they meet certain standards. Publishers search the directories to find free articles for their sites that fit in their niche and needs. The only stipulation for publishers is that the article must be reprinted in its entirety and must include a resource or author box.

It is the author box that is so important for business owners. Your name, expertise and a link to your website go there and then in front of thousands of targeted readers. It is a cost effective way to build your new business.

Article marketing continues to be the most cost-effective way to advertise a new business on the Internet

Im having some trouble deciding. As of right now Im in Bs. Management but I was told by a friend that Bs Man don’t really make that much and for some jobs u dont even need a degree. So I am thinking to switch either to CIS or finance. I dont know which one is better e.g. will have a higher paying job, better future outlook, and it wont take long to complete (plan to take 4 classes/sem). Also Im not very good in statistics and would like smth creative. What are CIS classes like? Do you have to learn to program or smth?

Both of them have the same core bs classes which I have completed, so I just need to decide which would be better.

Please help me. Give me as much info as you can… Thnx..

First off, your school should have a career development department. They can help you figure out what career you’ll enjoy most. I’d make an appointment to talk to them… They most likely will have you take a career test and recommend that you take a class or two in both CIS and Fin. This will give you an idea of whether or not you like it.

Second, go to a job fair, talk to people who work in these fields and ask them questions about what they do, why they chose this career, etc. If there isn’t a job fair scheduled for anytime soon, ask professors in the CIS and FIN departments, not only should they have experience working in these fields, they should know people who still work in these fields and maybe they can introduce you to them. Find out if you can do a "job shadow" to see where they work, what it’s like, etc.

Third, please PLEASE do NOT choose a career based on the money… Money isn’t worth much if your miserable and hate waking up every morning and going to a job you HATE.

I majored in Management and your friend is right, most of the jobs dont require degrees if youre wanting to work in the retail biz. However, there are other jobs out there that have to do with Management that make bank, they’re all those CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and COO (Chief Operating Officer). If you want to stick with Management, you can work for Target, they pay really well but only if you want to work in retail. They have a really good program and will help pay for your masters program if you decide to continue your education.

Hope I helped.

Following article extracted from NY Times, written by David Barboza, Friday, January 8, 2010,

James S. Chanos built one of the largest fortunes on Wall Street by foreseeing the collapse of Enron and other highflying companies whose stories were too good to be true.

Now Mr. Chanos, a wealthy hedge fund investor, is working to bust the myth of the biggest conglomerate of all: China Inc.

As most of the world bets on China to help lift the global economy out of recession, Mr. Chanos is warning that China’s hyperstimulated economy is headed for a crash, rather than the sustained boom that most economists predict. Its surging real estate sector, buoyed by a flood of speculative capital, looks like "Dubai times 1,000 — or worse," he frets. He even suspects that Beijing is cooking its books, faking, among other things, its eye-popping growth rates of more than 8 percent.

"Bubbles are best identified by credit excesses, not valuation excesses," he said in a recent appearance on CNBC. "And there’s no bigger credit excess than in China." He is planning a speech later this month at the University of Oxford to drive home his point.

As America’s pre-eminent short-seller — he bets big money that companies’ strategies will fail — Mr. Chanos’s narrative runs counter to the prevailing wisdom on China. Most economists and governments expect Chinese growth momentum to continue this year, buoyed by what remains of a $586 billion government stimulus program that began last year, meant to lift exports and consumption among Chinese consumers.

Still, betting against China will not be easy. Because foreigners are restricted from investing in stocks listed inside China, Mr. Chanos has said he is searching for other ways to make his bets, including focusing on construction- and infrastructure-related companies that sell cement, coal, steel and iron ore.

Mr. Chanos, 51, whose hedge fund, Kynikos Associates, based in New York, has $6 billion under management, is hardly the only skeptic on China. But he is certainly the most prominent and vocal.

For all his record of prescience — in addition to predicting Enron’s demise, he also spotted the looming problems of Tyco International, the Boston Market restaurant chain and, more recently, home builders and some of the world’s biggest banks — his detractors say that he knows little or nothing about China or its economy and that his bearish calls should be ignored.

"I find it interesting that people who couldn’t spell China 10 years ago are now experts on China," said Jim Rogers, who co-founded the Quantum Fund with George Soros and now lives in Singapore. "China is not in a bubble."

Colleagues acknowledge that Mr. Chanos began studying China’s economy in earnest only last summer and sent out e-mail messages seeking expert opinion.

But he is tagging along with the bears, who see mounting evidence that China’s stimulus package and aggressive bank lending are creating artificial demand, raising the risk of a wave of nonperforming loans.

"In China, he seems to see the excesses, to the third and fourth power, that he’s been tilting against all these decades," said Jim Grant, a longtime friend and the editor of Grant’s Interest Rate Observer, who is also bearish on China. "He homes in on the excesses of the markets and profits from them. That’s been his stock and trade."

Mr. Chanos declined to be interviewed, citing his continuing research on China. But he has already been spreading the view that the China miracle is blinding investors to the risk that the country is producing far too much.

"The Chinese," he warned in an interview in November with Politico.com, "are in danger of producing huge quantities of goods and products that they will be unable to sell."

In December, he appeared on CNBC to discuss how he had already begun taking short positions, hoping to profit from a China collapse.

In recent months, a growing number of analysts, and some Chinese officials, have also warned that asset bubbles might emerge in China.

The nation’s huge stimulus program and record bank lending, estimated to have doubled last year from 2008, pumped billions of dollars into the economy, reigniting growth.

But many analysts now say that money, along with huge foreign inflows of "speculative capital," has been funneled into the stock and real estate markets.

A result, they say, has been soaring prices and a resumption of the building boom that was under way in early 2008 — one that Mr. Chanos and others have called wasteful and overdone.

"It’s going to be a bust," said Gordon G. Chang, whose book, "The Coming Collapse of China" (Random House), warned in 2001 of such a crash.

Friends and colleagues say Mr. Chanos is comfortable betting against the crowd — even if that crowd includes the likes of Warren E. Buffett and Wilbur L. Ross Jr., two other towering figures of the investment world.
Hi Cutie, good thoughts. Shouldnt all fortune tellers give a time frame of predictions ie telling that someone would become a billionaire in 2010 or in 20100?
Longlive, thanks for the valuable contribution, as always.
Mr Hex Vision, good points, cant agree with you more, adding to everything mentioned information and news are not so easily accessible by the locals which hindered local investors’ decisions wisely. Bottome line, when will the burst?

I love carnival fortune tellers. They are so marvelously entertaining with their predictions of the future. They read your palm or look into a crystal ball and make up an entertaining story. Most carnival fortune tellers charge $10, but this man hopes to make much more. Many people are excited about investing in China, while others are jealous of China’s success, so this man sensed an opportunity to make money by fabricating a fortune telling story about China.

No one can foretell the future. Anyone who claims they can see into the future is either an entertainer (fortune teller), financial opportunist (stock manipulator), or insane. Since this man is a hedge fund operator, isn’t it obvious that he is trying to spread negative rumors about China in an effort to briefly create a buying opportunity for himself in Chinese stocks? Because he actually believes China has a great economic future?

Your article says this man lives in New York, but he predicts the future of a distant country that he knows nothing about. That’s like my voodoo worshiping maid who has claimed for 22 years that the Moon will split in half. Her name is Bong Bong, but her friends call her Bong. She foresees the future all of the time, but none of her predictions ever come true.

Sorry to burst your bubble of naivete, but when someone on Wall Street opens their mouth it is for the sole purpose of enriching themself. People lie all of the time. No one can foresee the future. In other words, this fortune telling man is a fraud.
